Impressionism and Post-Impressionism: Artistic Revolts

Product Description

In this course, we’ll be shining our spotlight on Impressionism and Post-Impressionism--which left the door ajar for the Modern era. Edouard Manet, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Paul Cezanne, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec are among the artists who revolted against the academic tradition of their day. They challenged standards of art that had been in place for over 400 years--and set the stage for what would become Modern Art. This is a fun journey through changing times that features some of the most beautiful art in the world!
